Who Is Haylee Reed?

Hello everyone! My name is Haylee Reed, I’m 19 years old, and this is my second semester here at GCC. I’m taking classes here in hopes to obtain my Bachelors degree in Nursing. Here you’ll be able to find out a little more about me, my interests, and my goals.
Growing up I was the oldest of 4 girls, I have a big family and were all pretty close. To stay out of trouble I invested my time in softball; after playing four years I decided to umpire and learn the game more in depth. This hobby is so important to me that now I coach my younger sisters in hopes softball keeps them out of trouble too. If you want to learn more about softball and the rules you can click Here.

Here is a picture of my sisters and I during our younger softball years.
My goals for myself are to complete my schooling and become a respiratory therapist. This interests me because my dad has emphysema and I want to learn how to help him and others with the same problem. Emphysema is a disease of the lungs that makes it harder to breath, there is no cure.  If I can help bring a little relief then I'll feel successful that I reached my goal.
As you can see Family is a big part of my immediate lifestyle, I believe being family oriented is important. A pet peeve of mine is when families don’t put in effort to stick together. I also believe friends can be like family too, And what better way to spend time with someone then by working out! I workout 3-5 days a week. Staying in shape is important because you need to keep your body healthy and strong as you get older. Exercising makes me unique because as I workout, I help others feel better to. I promote a product named Herbalife that helps you lose weight and boost your energy. Below is a friend of mine that has been on her weight loss journey with me for 1 year now.

I’m excited to take you on this new journey with me through my blog! I encourage commenting and feedback, if you have any questions for me don’t be hesitant to ask.

  1. Omg. Please please help me lose weight! I've been trying to eat better, except what exactly is better.? To do it, you have to eat and workout a certain amount of time, but eat ALL the right foods? But also at a debate and predicament, as to working out at home or going to the gym. I tried saving money until I find an apartment that has a gym, but I'm unsure. I've heard about herbalife and lots of people take it, but does it really work? Also, you mention being very family-oriented. I love people that are. It's a great quality honestly. My family isn't that family-oriented, and I think that was always missing with me, so I'm happy whenever I hear someone that is. You're also umpiring softball? and know a lot. have you ever thought about majoring in a team as well? and do you still coach?

    1. Briana, you can always consider joining the gym on campus; it's one of the cheapest options around and might be convenient since it's on campus.
